The Ati tribes competition and Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan once again take center stage, celebrating the essence of community and the richness of Iloilo’s heritage through powerful performances that honor devotion, tradition, and shared history.
KASADYAHAN SA KABANWAHANAN (January 24, 2026)
Eight municipalities will compete in the Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan, each presenting a unique narrative that reflects local history, livelihood, and belief systems.
Anilao’s Banaag Festival: Halad Kay Sta. Rita
The Banaag tribe pays reverent homage to Sta. Rita through graceful movements infused with spiritual symbolism. Their performance is a heartfelt expression of prayer, hope, and thanksgiving, embodying the deep faith of the Anilao community.
Santa Barbara’s Kahilwayan Festival

Banate’s Kasag Festival

Maasin’s Tultugan Festival

ATI TRIBES COMPETITION (January 25, 2026)
The legendary Ati tribes competition follows with seven competing tribes, each delivering devotion-filled performances in honor of Señor Santo Niño.
Tribu Ilonganon
This highly disciplined tribe is from Jalandoni Memorial National High School. Derived from “Irong-Irong,” an early name associated with Iloilo’s historic river settlements along the Batiano River, Tribu Ilonganon’s performance echoes Ilonggo pride, resilience, and identity in every beat.
Tribu Salognon
Representing Jaro National High School, Tribu Salognon draws inspiration from the heritage surrounding the Jaro Cathedral and devotion to Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria (Our Lady of Candles). Their performance honors both history and enduring faith.
Tribu Ilayanhon
Representing the Graciano Lopez Jaena Elementary School, Tribu Ilayanhon brings youthful energy to the competition while honoring Iloilo-born hero Graciano López Jaena. Their vibrant portrayal symbolizes patriotism, excellence, and hope for the future.
Tribu Paghidaet
Since 1999, Tribu Paghidaet of La Paz National High School has emerged as a formidable contender, known for performances centered on peace, strength, and devotion. Its international showcases in Osaka, Japan, and New Zealand have carried the Dinagyang spirit beyond Philippine shores.
Tribu Pan-ay
Rooted in the history of Panay Island, Tribu Pan-ay of Fort San Pedro National High School traces its narrative to the Spanish settlement under Miguel López de Legazpi. Their dynamic performances reflect a powerful connection to the past and Iloilo’s cultural depth.
Tribu Taga-Baryo
Representing Barangay Bo. Obrero in Lapuz, Tribu Taga-Baryo embodies grassroots participation and bayanihan. Their performance reflects the communal spirit at the heart of Dinagyang.
Tribu Bulawanon
Celebrating the cultural heritage of Molo, Tribu Bulawanon highlights the district’s rich traditions — from its iconic feminist church, Sta. Ana Parish, to its cuisine and communal strength. Each beat honors the area’s enduring history and vibrant spirit.
With the theme “Bugay sang Ginoo. Bugal sang mga Ilonggo.”, the 2026 Dinagyang Festival centers on the Ilonggos’ deep devotion to Señor Sto. Niño.
