ILOILO – Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. is negative for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The result of his reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test was released yesterday.
Defensor, along with 11 others (staff and household members), underwent swabbing after his security aide tested positive for the viral disease last week.
The security aide had mild symptoms.
Defensor went on self-quarantine beginning Aug. 11.
Official transactions with the Office of the Governor were also temporarily conducted at the Provincial Administrator’s Office.
Acting provincial administrator Atty. Suzette Mamon clarified that not all employees assigned at the Office of the Governor were included in the contact tracing.
