ILOILO City – Taekwondo jins from the Iloilo Mark Victoriano Pinggol Gym took home a total of 32 medals in the 2022 Dinagyang Online Poomsae & Speed Kicking Taekwondo Championships held recently.
The Iloilo City-based stable made their presence felt during the two-day virtual taekwondo competition. They took home 13 golds, 13 silvers and six bronze medals.
Bannering the gold medal winners were Andria Margaret Palabrica, Geon Dulaca, Alicia Guttierez
Viene Dulaca, Jenella Tionko, Eujean Castete, and James Pecayco.
Also with gold medals for the stable were Alyanah Tionko, Sophia Bautista, Phil Margarico, Franchesca Dunton, Jeremi Panaguiton and Princess Mia Cruz.
Capturing silver medals were Shanen Feranco, Phil Regalado, Justin Apura, Margaretts Obsequio, Franchesca Dunton, Kristhel Turbanos, and Edward Layson.
Other taekwondo jins who settled for bridesmaid finishes were Alyzza Alindote, Johann Macanas, Sirch Damaolao, Gabriel Capadosa, Adriel Balberona, and Xabriel Gebuzion.
Ending up with bronze medals were Enzo Cape, Sirch Damaolao, Anthony Planta, Jeremiah Ong, James Calubo and Van Carreon.
Meanwhile, Zarraga Taekwondo Dojang Stingers also had a solid showing in the event with 16 total medals – five golds, five silvers and six bronze medals.
Winning gold medals were Nheza Pauline Gonzales Nicole Leonoras, JR Jeon, Erjun Cabanero ans Rhylle Andrei Guanzon, while bagging silvers were Jerrell Sencida, Dominique Sudayan, Selle Pueyo, Abigail Leonoras and Edjoe Dorio.
Capturing bronze medals were Lorenzo Caine Morales Anota, Yana Lourgil Diana, Francine Rae Araño Tamaray, Lory Frias, Genelle Audrey Panes and Neimann Paul Gonzales.
Iloilo A. Diasnes Taekwondo Gym finished with 10 golds, 10 silver and 7 bronze medals, SRT Taekwondo Academy has 6-5-10 gold-silver-bronze, while Coach Flora Taekwondo has 1-3-6 medal haul./PN
