ILOILO City – Jins from the Iloilo MVP Taekwondo Gym showcased their wares during the 2020 Smart/MVP Online National Age Group Taekwondo Poomsae Championships over the weekend.
The Mark Pinggol-mentored stable netted three gold medals from Viene Marie Dulaca, Andria Margaret Palabrica and Justin Adrian Apura, and three silvers from Phil Caleb Regalado, Ma. Glaiza Cordero and Crisgel Castro.
Iloilo MVP also grabbed bronze medals via Chrystelle Eine Siangco, Cecil Angeli Rentoy, Maria Beatriz Santos, Shanen Anica Feranco, Geon Ivan Dulaca, and Julianna Martha Uy.
“I am glad that 12 out of our 18 entries in this online taekwondo competition captured medals,” Pinggol told Panay News. “The players proved that they remained in shape amid the pandemic.” Iloilo City Jocas Taekwondo, meanwhile, have three medals from Clark Zed Abello (gold), Tisha Seth Escrupulo (silver) and Anje Espanillo (bronze) while NEB 1 Taekwondo Academy nabbed a gold courtesy of Ashton Losaria and bronze from Shyn Belaguas.
A. Diasnes TKD and Antique TKD, for their part, captured a gold medal each through Mariel Angela Siscar and Carl Raymond Pe respectively./PN
