ILOILO — The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) arrested 99 wanted persons in a month-long provincewide crackdown, underscoring an intensified campaign to track down fugitives and enforce outstanding arrest warrants across Iloilo.
Police records showed that from May 1 to 31, law enforcers conducted 99 separate operations that resulted in the arrest of 99 individuals with pending warrants.
Of those apprehended, four were classified as regional-level most wanted persons, 12 were provincial-level fugitives, 23 were municipal-level targets, and 60 were categorized as other wanted persons.
The Barotac Viejo Municipal Police Station recorded the highest number of arrests with eight wanted persons captured.
Passi City Police Station followed with seven arrests, while Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station accounted for six.
IPPO director Colonel Bayani Razalan credited public cooperation for the successful operations and urged residents to continue helping authorities locate fugitives.
“Ang tagsa ka impormasyon nga inyo mahatag sa aton mga pulis dako nga bulig para madakop naton ining mga wanted persons. Padayon ang aton mabaskog nga kampanya angut sa pagpangsikop sang mga wanted persons ilabi nagid ang mga nagahukmong diri sa aton probinsya,” Razalan said.
Razalan said the provincial police force remains committed to intensifying its campaign against wanted persons and other forms of criminality as part of efforts to strengthen peace and order throughout Iloilo Province./PN
