ILOILO – The province’s No. 1 most wanted person was arrested on Saturday at the public plaza of Leganes town.
The 31-year-old murder and frustrated murder suspect Angelito Magnate was a resident of Barangay Daculan, Estancia. He was served with an arrest warrant around 10:50 a.m. by Estancia policemen.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Jose Mauricio Gomez of the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 71.
Judge Gomez recommended a P200,000 bail bond for Magnate’s frustrated here.
According to Estancia chief of police Lieutenant Joebert Amado, Magnate was one of eight suspects in the Aug. 5, 2021 stabbing of brothers Jaypee and John Dee Francisco at the Estancia seaport.
John Dee survived but Japee died.
Six of the suspects were immediately arrested; they were minors and thus were taken into custody by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO).
