Iloilo Royals faces Davao in MPBL Passi City home game Oct. 19

ILOILO – The Iloilo United Royals is set to play its second home game in the 2019-2020 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup. It faces Davao Occidental Tigers on Oct. 19 at the City of Passi Arena.

The Royals-Tigers match is scheduled at 9 p.m.  following the first game between the Pasay Voyagers and Manila Frontrow Stars at 7 p.m.

The Royals, currently at 8-6 in the South Division, is to be led by veterans Richard Escoto, Ryan Arambulo, Donald Gumaru, Jasper Parker, Cedric de Joya, Rey Publico,nd Frederick Rodriguez.

The Royals recently signed up Mac Racho, who will take over the spot left by now TNT KaTropa guard Rodel de Leon, while Jerson Prado is to make his debut after his UAAP stint with the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons.

The Tigers, which is one of the leaders of the league at 12-2 win-loss record, will parade Ilonggo guard Billy Ray Robles as well as Negrense forward Mark Yee.

Also in the loaded roster are veterans Angelus Raymundo, Mario Bonleon, Louie Medalla, Bonbon Custodio, Yvan Ludovice, James Forrester, James Regalado, Chester Saldua, Joseph Terso, and Marco Balagtas.

This will be the second time that the Royals are playing at home after their close 52-56 defeat in the hands of the Voyagers on Sept. 19 at the University of San Agustin Gym in Iloilo City./PN
