ILOILO — The Iloilo provincial government has officially appointed Aulynn Yue Sin as the new Provincial Tourism Officer, a move seen as part of the province’s effort to strengthen its tourism and cultural promotion programs.
Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. administered the oath of office to Yue Sin on March 9, formally installing her as department head of the Provincial Culture, Arts, History and Tourism Office.
Yue Sin’s appointment also gained the unanimous concurrence of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan during its 34th regular session this week, presided over by Vice Gov. Nathalie Ann Debuque.
Following her oath-taking, Yue Sin thanked Defensor for the trust placed in her and vowed to pursue programs and initiatives that will further promote Iloilo as a distinctive tourism destination.
She said she intends to implement projects that will highlight Iloilo’s image as “a fun, foodie, and friendly destination.”
Yue Sin is serving concurrently as officer-in-charge of the Provincial Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (OLEDIPO).
Provincial Administrator Raul Banias welcomed her appointment, noting that the unanimous support of the provincial board reflects strong confidence in her leadership.
“It is a proud moment for the province as her appointment received the unanimous concurrence of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. This full support from our board members and Vice Governor underscores the trust and confidence in her leadership to take our tourism industry to new heights,” Banias said.
