Iloilo’s No. 1 fugitive falls

ILOILO – Police operatives arrested Iloilo’s No. 1 provincial most wanted person during a manhunt operation in Banate town on November 3.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Mar-Mar,” is a 33-year-old married and unemployed resident of Banate. He is facing charges of statutory rape.

Officers of the Banate Municipal Police Station’s (MPS) Tracker Team executed the arrest around 5:20 p.m. in the town’s Barangay Poblacion by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued on October 16, 2026 by the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 66, in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo. No bail was recommended for his temporary release.

The suspect is currently in police custody for proper documentation and disposition.

He emphasized that PRO-6 will continue to strengthen intelligence-driven manhunt operations, police unit coordination, and community cooperation to track down individuals with pending arrest warrants./PN
