
MANILA – Ilonggo taekwondo jins from the Iloilo MVP Taekwondo Gym and A. Diasnes Gym dominated the 2020 Smart/MVPSF Online National Inter-School Speed Kicking Taekwondo Championships held recently.
Cyd Edryc Esmaña spearheaded the Iloilo MVP with two gold medals in the cadet male division blackbelt category of freestyle kicking (FK) and kickpad kicking (KP), while Angela Bermejo won gold in KP and silver in FK for junior women division blackbelt.
Alexis Araneta clinched a gold medal in KP and bronze medal in FK in cadet female division blackbelt, while Margarette Gem Obsequio took home gold in gradeschool girls division KP and bronze in FK. Andria Margaret Palabrica also had a gold in KP and bronze in FK.
Akimeh Demavivas finished the contest with two silver medals in the FK and KP categories of cadet female division blackbelt, Viene Marie Dulaca garnered silver in FK and bronze in KP, Shires Postelero also had a silver in KP and bronze in FK, and Alyanah Julienne Tionko bagged two bronzes.
Phil Andrew Margarico, Maria Beatriz Santos and Alicia Sophia Gutierrez also captured gold medals. Meanwhile, Sheine Nicole De Asis, Phil Caleb Regalado, James Annrhey Pecayco, Marielle Faye Lagamo, and Adriel Elexus Balberona secured silvers.
Sophia Grace Go, Jannah Ysabel Velez, Niesha Kariz Pequierda, Christian Pudadera, Ma. Glaiza Fae Cordero, Jeremiah Miguel Ong, Denzel Espadilla, and Adrian Emmanuel Zarandin were declared bronze medalists.
For A. Diasnes Gym, Seth Ryan Templanza won two golds in FK and KP categories, Rojohn Dela Cruz took home two medals while Marcus Angelo Murcia captured gold in FK and silver in KP.
Franz Angelo Fernandez bagged silver in KP and bronze in FK while Diana Ashley Dello also had a silver in FK and bronze in KP. Janus Miguel Tacsagon had two bronzes in FK and KP categories and Zachariah Balsomo won a silver in KP and bronze in FK.
Also bagging gold medals for A. Diasnes stable were Cindy Joy Diasnes, Sherimei Anne Hojilla, Almar Diasnes, Clarence Jotham Gancero, Elisha Aguilar and Crizzel Jhanin Ahmed.
Capturing silver medals were Rufino Barrato, Jan Andrew Gancero, Gabrielle Dacumos, Kian Castigador, and Franchesca Alterado.
Meanwhile, Jesseray Frantilla, Artha Camille Tanagon, Carl Artemiz Tanagon, Airon Melvin Aguana, Kean Ryth Bornazal, Lansil Andrew Brotarlo, Hannah Dello, Justine James Diasnes, Markishi Tin, Oscar Damasco, Zion Guinez, Ehyan Talabucon and Beatriz Dacpano took home bronze medals./PN
