In rare moment, Lovi tells sister Grace Poe: ‘You filled gaps in my life’

IN A rare moment, actress Lovi Poe expressed affection for her paternal sister, Sen. Grace Poe, on the occasion of the lawmaker’s 50th birthday.

Lovi, 29, took to Instagram Thursday to share photos of her at Sen. Poe’s recent birthday celebration.

One showed her in an embrace with her “Ate.”

In the caption, Lovi wrote: “It’s so true what they say, that death ends a life, not a relationship. When Papa passed away, you became my father-figure big sister, even if I was shying away from it. I may not say it often nor show it, but you filled the gaps in my life only you can fill. Happy Birthday, Ate! I love you.”

Lovi is the daughter of the late film icon Fernando Poe, Jr. (FPJ) with former actress Rowena Moran.

Sen. Poe, meanwhile, is the adopted daughter of FPJ with his widow, film veteran Susan Roces.

FPJ, dubbed the “King of Philippine Movies,” died in 2004 after suffering a stroke. Earlier that same year, he lost the presidential elections.

Sen. Poe similarly ran for president in 2016, but lost to incumbent President Rodrigo Duterte. (ABS-CBN News)
