ILOILO City – Edgar “Injap” Sia of DoubleDragon Properties made it to the Forbes 2017 list of richest billionaires in the world.

The youngest among 14 Filipinos who made it to the list, the 40-year-old native of Roxas City, Capiz landed at 1,940th place with a net worth of $1 billion.

Sia started his first business venture at the age of 26 when he transformed a space at Robinsons Place Iloilo’s carpark building into a fastfood restaurant which served an Ilonggo favorite, inasal. Since then, Mang Inasal became a household name. Currently, it has over 400 branches nationwide.

In a previous interview with Panay News, Sia narrated that he has an innate interest in business since he was young – something that was influenced by his parents.

“I have a natural interest in business since I was a kid, plus growing up in a business environment and seeing how our parents struggle in their local grocery business also help further nurture my organic inclination to business,” he shared.
