ILOILO – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) intensified its antidrug campaign in November, netting P8.6 million worth of illegal drugs and arresting 33 individuals.
Data from the IPPO showed that 26 operations were conducted, leading to the apprehension of 10 high-value targets and 23 street-level personalities.
Confiscated during these operations were 1,262.51 grams of shabu valued at P8.6 million.
The IPPO’s efforts extended beyond illegal drugs. A total of 96 manhunt operations resulted in the capture of 98 wanted individuals, including 18 from the top 10 most wanted list and 81 others with outstanding warrants.
In its campaign against illegal gambling, the IPPO conducted 17 operations, arresting 56 individuals and seizing P14,710 worth of bets.
The province-wide crackdown on illegal firearms also yielded results, with 28 guns recovered during 17 operations, leading to the arrest of 19 individuals.
Additionally, 17 unlicensed firearms were voluntarily surrendered, while nine guns with expired licenses were deposited for safekeeping.
The IPPO also bolstered its fight against illegal fishing. A total of 29 operations led to the arrest of 62 individuals, the seizure of 46 fishing boats, and the confiscation of fish worth P77,800.
