ILOILO City – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) seized more than P6.2 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested 30 drug personalities in a series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted across Iloilo province during the first half of July.
Records from the IPPO showed that from July 1 to 15, various municipal police stations carried out 20 anti-drug operations, resulting in the confiscation of about 910 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P6.2 million.
The operations also led to the arrest of 30 suspects, including nine identified as high-value individuals and 21 classified as street-level individuals.
Police Colonel Bayani Razalan, IPPO director, said the accomplishments reflect the intensified campaign of the provincial police against the supply and distribution of illegal drugs in Iloilo.
“These accomplishments prove that our intelligence-driven operations are effective. We will continue to sustain intensified anti-illegal drug operations in the province,” Razalan said.
He added that the IPPO remains steadfast in strengthening its anti-illegal drug campaign and promoting safer, drug-free communities throughout the province.
All arrested suspects are under the custody of their respective municipal police stations and will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
