“I DON’T think anyone in that situation is really excited to see the ex with someone else. But you know, that’s not my choice.”
These were the words of James Reid when asked by Boy Abunda if he is ready to see Nadine Lustre with a new suitor.
Boy interviewed the singer-actor in his The Interviewer Presents segment on his YouTube channel.
When Boy made a follow-up question, James further explained, “I wish her the best. I want her to be happy. I’m not her husband neither her father, so she can do whatever makes her the happiest.”
James and Nadine revealed that they separated in January 2020. The two have continued to work together under James’ label, Careless Music. James is involved in most, if not all, of Nadine’s music projects.
In an interview with Boy also last June, Nadine remarked that she is not putting any label on the relationship she has right now with ex-boyfriend James saying, “It is what it is.”
She also gave credit to James for helping her reach her goals.
“He’s just pushing me. He’s actually the one lining up all the projects for me, which I am really grateful for. I wouldn’t have done it without him, to be honest,” she stated.(Push/Cosmopolitan)
