ACTOR James Blanco made a revelation about his family life, sharing that he is currently estranged from his family, including his son Iñigo Jose, who recently entered showbiz as a housemate in “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0.”
James, who is married to Tania Creighton-Castillo, is a father to three children – Iñigo, Sebastian, and Natalia. The actor spoke about the situation during a recent interview with Ogie Diaz, where he admitted that he has not been in contact with his children for several months already.
“Hindi pa kami nakakapag-usap talaga, honestly,” he revealed.
When asked about the current state of his relationship with his kids, James took a moment before responding. The actor appeared emotional as he gathered his thoughts, pausing briefly and taking a deep breath before answering.
“Hindi ko masabi eh,” he said, admitting that he is currently living alone.
While he chose not to disclose the exact reason behind the estrangement, James shared that the distance has been deeply painful for him, especially considering how close he once was with his children. In the past, the actor often bonded with his sons through sports and workouts, even sharing some of those moments on social media.
“Masakit kasi very, very close kami ng mga anak ko…ako ang nagturo sa kanila ng sports eh…then all of a sudden wala na,” the actor expressed.
James also shared that even before Iñigo entered the PBB house until now, they have not spoken, not even through text messages.
Despite the distance, James did not hide how much he misses his children.
“Sobra. Kasi buhay ko ‘yung mga anak ko eh.”
“Hindi ako ‘yung tao na mahirap i-please… Ayoko lang ‘yung matigas ang puso, lagi kong tinuturo ‘yan sa mga anak ko…Huwag niyong hahayaan na lumipas ‘yung araw na hindi niyo naparamdam [yung pagmamahal]. Simple text, simple hello, it’s enough,” he continued.
The actor also shared that he had attempted to reach out to his children several times in the past. Eventually, however, he decided to give them space.
James also revealed that he has not been in communication with his wife since last year, saying he does not know the reason they have not spoken.
Even amid the distance, the actor emphasized that his love for his children has remained unchanged, and he continues to hope that they may reconnect in time.
At the same time, James said that he feels proud seeing Iñigo begin his own journey in the same industry he has been part of for decades.
Following the revelation, James also clarified that he currently does not have a new partner. (Push Team)
