CAPIZ – Police operatives arrested the province’s third most wanted person during a decisive operation in Barangay Bayebaye, Jamindan town late afternoon of September 12.
The suspect, identified only by his alias “Tito,” 52, a married farmer and resident of the town, was apprehended at around 4:19 p.m.
He faces four counts of qualified rape under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1(A), in relation to Article 266-B(1) of the Revised Penal Code. The Regional Trial Court Branch 21 in Mambusao issued the warrant for his arrest on September 8, 2025.
Due to the gravity of the charges, no bail was recommended. Tito is now under the custody of the Jamindan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6), lauded the operatives for the successful operation.
“This is a testament to our unwavering commitment to deliver justice to victims while maintaining peace and security in Western Visayas,” Ligan said.
He also issued a stern warning to other fugitives: “PRO-6 will not rest until you are held accountable.”
