ILOILO City – A man stabbed a friend around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday in Zone 5, Barangay Tacas, Jaro district.
Only identified as “Oreg” by the Jaro police station, the suspect attacked Lorenzo Celiz, 52, of Barangay Ungka 2, Pavia, Iloilo.
Celiz was allegedly talking to Oreg’s live-in partner and this sent the suspect to a jealous fit.
Prior to the stabbing, the two friends were binge drinking.
After the stabbing, Celiz was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center for the wound on his back.
Oreg fled after the stabbing. As of this writing, he has not been found./PN
