ILOILO – A jeepney driver died on the spot after falling into a 15- to 20-meter-deep ravine in Barangay Panuran, Lambunao, Iloilo.
Alex Lastimoso, 52, and a resident of the mentioned barangay, was supposed to deliver farm produce in Iloilo City when the incident transpired on Saturday morning, March 23.
According to Police Staff Sergeant Edran Lozarita, investigator of the Lambunao Municipal Police Station, the jeep’s brakes malfunctioned while traversing the downhill portion of the road.
Meanwhile, the minors who were at the back of the jeep were able to jump out and survive./PN
