ILOILO – Three persons were injured after a private jeepney figured in a road accident in Barangay Cagay, Alimodian town on Sunday, September 29.
Alimodian police said aliases “Carl”, 17, a resident of Barangay Guadalupe, and “Rico”, 15, of Barangay Dabong, both in Janiuay town; and John Atoque, 23, from Barangay Cabugao, Pavia sustained minor body injuries.
The driver, 57-year-old Anado Paolo De Leon, a resident of Barangay Bulong Oeste, Sta. Barbara, was unharmed.
According to the investigation of the Alimodian Municipal Police Station (MPS), while traveling on their way home from a catering service at an inland resort the jeepney’s brakes malfunctioned causing it to overshot the road.
Atoque and the two minors were brought to a hospital while De Leon was taken into custody by the Alimodian MPS for proper disposition./PN
