ILOILO City – Thousands of Jehovah’s Witnesses from across Western Visayas are expected to converge at the Iloilo Convention Center here over two consecutive weekends for the 2025 Regional Convention series, a major faith-based gathering aimed at fostering spiritual growth and community connection.
With the theme “Pure Worship!”, the free three-day convention will run on August 8–10 and August 15–17, 2025, marking the return of the event to Iloilo City after attracting millions globally in previous years.

The upcoming program, announced in the first-ever press conference hosted by Jehovah’s Witnesses in Iloilo City on August 7, will feature Bible-based discourses, dramatizations, and interviews exploring timely spiritual themes, including:
* Imitate Jesus’ Responses to the Tempter
* What Does Jesus See in You?, and
* Do You Worship What You Know?
According to Jose Anthony Parreño, Regional Support, the Saturday highlight will be the baptism of local candidates — a “moving symbol of personal dedication” for many attendees.
JW spokesman Wilson Utayde said the event will also premiere Episode 2 of the 18-part video series The Good News According to Jesus, which “offers a comprehensive, Gospel-based look into Jesus Christ’s life and ministry.”
He added, “Episode 2 will be shown in two parts on Friday and Saturday.”
Utayde further noted that no collections will be taken, as all events hosted by Jehovah’s Witnesses are free and funded through voluntary donations.
The Iloilo gathering forms part of a global campaign spanning more than 240 countries and territories. In 2024 alone, nearly 11 million people attended Jehovah’s Witnesses conventions worldwide.
The public is invited to attend, with gates opening at 9:20 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Each day’s program will last about six hours, with a lunch break./PN
