JULIA Barretto on Wednesday took to social media to mourn the death of her grandfather, Miguel Alvir Barretto, who passed away on Tuesday afternoon at the age of 82.
On Instagram, the actress posted a series of photos of her with the late Mr. Barretto as she expressed her grief over the sudden death of her grandpa.
āI thought Iāve experienced real pain until yesterday. Nothing compares to this. My heart hurts so much 9/29. It hurts so much. It will never ever be the same without you, but I find peace in knowing that you are now free from all the pain and suffering. Rest well now, 9/29. See you again,ā she said.
Earlier, her mother, former actress Marjorie Barretto, also paid tribute to her father, saying sheās grateful for him for āloving me and being the greatest grandfather to my children.ā
Claudine Barretto, the youngest of the Barretto siblings, confirmed the death of their father in an Instagram Stories update on Tuesday.
Neither she nor anyone from the Barretto clan has revealed the cause of Mr. Barrettoās passing, although it has been stated by Marjorie that the family patriarch was rushed to the hospital after āfalling very illā during his 82nd birthday celebration earlier this month.
Mr. Barretto leaves behind his wife, Estrella āIndayā Barretto and seven children: Mito, Joaquin, Gia, Gretchen, Marjorie, and Claudine. (Push)
