MANILA – Sen. Joseph Victor Ejercito is planning to visit his half-brother, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada at the Philippine National Police – Custodial Center in Camp Crame.

Estrada is detained there for his unbailable pork barrel plunder case.

Ejercito is “optimistic” Estrada won’t turn down his visit request.

“As I have said, hindi man kami magkasundo ngayon, hindi man kami nagkakaunawaan, but things happen for a reason. At one point we were close. It was during our lowest moments, when he and our father were arrested,” Ejercito recalled.

Their father is former president Joseph Estrada, now the mayor of Manila. He and Jinggoy were detained for plunder in 2001. Jinggoy was acquitted but the former president was convicted.
