BACOLOD City – A 26-year-old man shot his brother dead in Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as resident Raymund Dubrea.
According to the police, Raymund fired at his 33-year-old brother George using a shotgun around 4 p.m. on July 8.
George sustained a gunshot wound on the jaw, the report added. He was brought to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
It was not immediately established what caused the shooting.
Raymund surrendered to Barangay Captain Manuel Antoniego and was turned over to the police.
He was detained in the Kabankalan City police station custodial facility./PN
