BACOLOD City – A woman was shot dead in Barangay Binicuil, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The 30-year-old resident Ma. Remilo Parolanan sustained a gunshot wound on the head, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as Parolanan’s 34-year-old live-in-partner Mark Krishtian Lopez Polvora.
According to the police, Polvora shot Parolanan using an improvised shotgun around 11:30 p.m. on July 20.
It was not immediately established what was the cause in the shooting.
Meanwhile, Polvora surrendered to village councilman Nicanor Limaco III and was turned over to the police.
He was detained in the Kabankalan City police station’s custodial facility./PN
