Kalibo fire leaves P2.5-M damage

KALIBO, Aklan – Properties estimated to be worth P2.5 million went up in smoke after fire charred a commercial establishment in this capital town around 3:55 p.m. on Sunday.

Arson investigators of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the two-hour blaze totally gutted the Overtime KTV, Discobar and Resto and partially damaged the adjacent Zapa Inn-D’Sapa Lodge in Barangay Andagao.

Cablayan said fire investigators have yet to identify the cause and origin of the fire.

The BFP reported no casualties in the incident and declared a “fire-out” around 5:55 p.m. (With a report from Akean Forum/PN)
