AFTER more than two years since she flew to the US to seek treatment for autoimmune disease, it looks like multimedia host and actress Kris Aquino is finally returning to the Philippines later this year.

The Queen of All Media’s younger son Bimby Aquino Yap shared the happy news in a recent interview with The Philippine Star.

“My mom is coming home for good in September. Latest is October,” he said. “I’m very happy. She misses her family the most. She misses Tita Ballsy (Cruz) and her sisters.”

Despite his mom’s challenging health journey, Bimby said Kris is on the road to regaining good health by being dedicated to finishing her treatments.

Papunta na po (sa pag galing). The medicine is hard on her. Pero alam nyo naman po — fighter si mama. She’s strong,” stated Bimby.

“She’s my world. She’s my universe. At saka iba talaga kapag kasama ko si mama,” he added. “I’ve seen her in her lowest of lows, in her highest of highs. And now papunta na po siya sa paggaling.”

In an earlier interview with their family friend and entertainment vlogger Ogie Diaz, Bimby also revealed how he had come to accept and cope his mom’s delicate condition for the past few years.

Hindi ako Diyos, I can only do so much to alleviate her, to help her. Pero at the end of the day, I can’t fully take it away, ‘di ba? Kasi tao lang ako, tao lang si mama. All I can do is love her, support her, take care of her,” he admitted.

During the start of the year, Kris announced plans for her younger son to go back to the Philippines to join showbiz because he wanted to help with her medical expenses. Then in February, Bimby ended up postponing his plans in order to stay in the US longer to help take care of his mother.

Kris was still undergoing treatment for various autoimmune diseases as well as revealing that she is also battling cardiomyopathy.

“I now have cardiomyopathy. This means my heart muscles are having trouble pumping blood due to inflammation, and because of that inflammation, it’s exhausting my heart and causing it to begin to fail and ultimately, please pray with me – sana hindi tuluyang sumuko or mag-cardiac arrest,” shared Kris. “Please help me pray for my doctors and my nurses so that God will continue to guide them as they try to heal me.”

“I have always believed in sharing the truth no matter how painful with all of you. Why? Because sinamahan nyo ako sa laban,” she added. “Sana ‘wag tayong sumuko sa ating pananampalataya na nakikinig ang Diyos sa mga Dasal ng buo ang tiwala sa Kanya.”

In April, Kris shared her fears regarding not being around anymore to celebrate her son’s 18th birthday next year. (PUSH)
