ILOILO City – A 26-year-old laborer was wounded after he got stabbed in Barangay Ticud, La Paz district.
Antonio Serrano of Barangay Mambot, Balasan, Iloilo sustained bruises and lacerations on his left arm, police said. He already received treatment.
Serrano’s co-worker Bernie Libore, 25, of Barangay Jerusalem, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental was tagged suspect.
According to the police, Libore and Serrano were having a drinking session around 12:10 a.m. on Saturday. Libore allegedly stab Serrano using a broken bottle after a heated argument ensued between them. It was not immediately established what triggered the altercation.
Libore was caught and detained in the lockup cell of the La Paz police station, facing charges./PN
