Land conflict motive in Isabela shooting

BACOLOD City – Land conflict was the motive behind a fatal shooting incident in Sitio Guza, Barangay Banog-Banog, Isabela, Negros Occidental, police said.

The 23-year-old resident Jason “Maymay” Amparado sustained three gunshot wounds on the different parts of the body and died, a police report showed.

Police identified the suspect as the Jason’s 25-year-old cousin Reynaldo “Ontoy” Amparado, also a resident of the village.

Reynaldo used a .45-caliber firearm to shoot Jason around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, the report stated.

Officers from the Isabela municipal police station were still locating Reynaldo, who fled after the shooting./PN
