BACOLOD City – The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized more than P1.4 million worth of suspected shabu from a grandfather and his grandson during a buy-bust operation in Barangay 3.
The suspects, identified as Wilfrando Francia, 61, and Belmer Francia, 21, both residents of Barangay 3, were arrested at around 12 a.m. on June 16.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of approximately 205 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P1,394,000.
According to the police, Belmer Francia was considered a high-value target, while his grandfather was classified as a street-level suspect.
Charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are set to be filed against the suspects, who are currently detained at the BCPO./PN
