ILOILO City – To start the new year right, Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and city hall department heads signed an “integrity pledge.”
The pledge, titled “A Commitment to Ethical Practice and Good Governance”, was a reminder to serve the public with integrity, said City Administrator Hernando Galvez.
“It also aims to ensure that our city government remains efficient and graft-free,” he added.
The signing was held on Jan. 4 at city hall during Mabilog’s meeting with his department heads.
The mayor’s executive assistants will also be signing the integrity pledge, said Galvez.
The city administrator also disclosed that city hall’s customer care center will be further strengthened this year.
Opened September last year, the customer care center entertains complaints against city government employees or their services.
The center is chaired by Mabilog but Galvez is supervising it.
Galvez said the public is also free to also register commendations on helpful city hall employees through the customer care center.
“Kun may kinahanglan disiplinahon, disiplinahon. Kun may tawo nga dalayawon, dayawon gid naton,” he said.
Common complaints that the customer care center received right after it opened were against the employees and services of the Transportation Management and Traffic Regulation Office, Zoning Division and Civil Registrar./PN
