ILOILO City – Vexed by a malicious remark, a woman from Barangay Airport, Mandurriao district arrested her neighbor, a police report showed.
The neighbor, 25-year-old Nikki Carbaquil, was detained at the Mandurriao police station.
Ronela Mae Montero, 20, told the police she was walking with friends in the village at around 10 p.m. on April 14 when Carbaquil approached them.
Montero said she asked Carbaquil, “Maano ka (What do you want)?” to which the latter replied, “Matiti (I want to breastfeed),” and “smiled maliciously,” the police report stated.
Montero then sought help from Tanod Commander Rolando Frondoza, placed Carbaquil under citizen arrest, and turned her neighbor over to the Mandurriao police.
Moreover, Frondoza frisked Carbaquil and seized from him a knife, more or less 9 inches long, with an improvised scabbard./PN
