ILOILO – A 50-year-old man was shot to death in Sitio Muhangin, Barangay Gerongan, Lemery, Iloilo.
Mario Casumpang was a married resident of the barangay.
A suspect had been named – 35-year-old Rey Asong.
Casumpang was gambling in their dead neighbor’s house when attacked, according to Police Lieutenant Francis Bataliones, officer-in-charge of the Lemery police station.
Casumpang got hit on the chest.
The suspect fled. As of this writing, his whereabouts remained unknown.
According to the police, a motive in the shooting could be that the suspect was suspicious that the victim to have stolen his cow. /PN
