BACOLOD City – Charged with acts of lasciviousness, a man was arrested in Barangay Zone 4-A, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The 71-year-old Efren Estor Begasa, who had been hiding from the police for about 12 years, was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, a police report showed.
Police officers served the warrant issued by Judge Philadelfa Pagapong-Agraviador of the Regional Trial Court Branch 43 in this city dated July 31, 2007.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Talisay City police station.
The court recommended a bail bond worth P80,000 for Begasa’s temporary liberty./PN
