ILOILO City – A 33-year-old man was arrested yesterday in Barangay Divinagracia, La Paz district.
Walin Mayer Seares of Barangay Q. Abeto, Mandurriao was charged with violating Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, a police report showed.
He was caught around7:30 a.m. and taken to the La Paz police station.
Judge Regina Centenara Galang-Guarin of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 3 ordered Seares’ arrest. She recommended a P72,000 bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
According to the police, the suspect had two previous arrest warrants for the same offense but was able to post bail.
Seares was the No. 10 wanted person in La Paz, police added./PN
