ILOILO City – A 52-year-old man was arrested in Barangay Santo Domingo, Arevalo district.
Raymund Varona was caught cutting the secondary wire owned by an electric corporation, police said.
Authorities recovered a 10-meter wire, pliers and control circuit breaker from the suspect’s possession.
Varona was detained at the Arevalo police station. Charges for violation of Republic Act No. 7832, or the Anti-Pilferage of Electricity and Theft of Electric Transmission Lines/Materials Act of 1994 would be filed against him./PN
