ILOILO — Authorities arrested Iloilo Province’s No. 10 most wanted person for rape in Barangay Agcuyawan Calsada, Barotac Nuevo town.
The 33-year-old alias “Steph” was caught by the Tracker Team of the Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station (MPS) at around 2:45 p.m. on Monday, February 16.
Steph was the subject of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 6 in Dumangas, Iloilo for four counts of violation of Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) and seven counts of statutory rape by carnal knowledge under Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code in relation to RA 7610.
The court set bail at P200,000 for each of the four counts of sexual abuse, but denied bail for the rape charges.
In response to this vital arrest, , the regional director of Western Visayas, commended the efforts of the Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station’s tracker team.

Ligan. “We remain resolute in our mission to track down fugitives and maintain peace and order in our region.”
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Barotac Nuevo MPS./PN
