BACOLOD City – The police of Calatrava, Negros Occidental are hunting down a 24-year-old man suspected of shooting a cousin in Barangay Dolis.
Jennifer Bargamento fled after the shooting of drunken cousin Mario Mahinay, 25, on Wednesday afternoon, according to the police.
Mahinay was talking with his two other cousins when shot for no apparent reason, the police added.
Mahinay sustained a gunshot wound on the neck. He was rushed to the Calatrava District Hospital where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Calatrava municipal police station as of this writing were coordinating with the suspect’s family for his peaceful surrender./PN
