ILOILO – On Tuesday night, a man shot his cousin in Barangay Cabayogan, Badiangan.
The victim, known by the alias “Roll,” is currently receiving medical treatment for gunshot wounds on his stomach and hand.
Senior Master Sergeant Rene Cedilo of Badiangan police said the suspect, identified as “Chris,” lost temper with the victim after enduring threats for five consecutive days. These alleged threats included vows to harm the suspect and his family.
Before the shooting, the victim reportedly escalated the situation further by brandishing an overland machete (binangon) during an altercation.
Based on statements from the victim’s family, Roll was suffering from a nervous breakdown.
Chris is currently at large. The police launched a manhunt.
