BACOLOD City – Police are looking into love triangle as possible motive in the killing of a man in Barangay Mansilingan here yesterday.

Branel Casas, 44, died of fatal hack wounds, police said.

Tagged as suspect was 73-year-old Wilfredo Sadaba.

Virginia Canonoy, 41, live-in partner of the victim, told police that Casas and Sadaba had an altercation around 7 a.m.

Sadaba allegedly struck the victim with a dos por dos lumber then hacked him with a cane knife (espading).

Then the suspect reportedly buried Casas at a lot nearby after the incident.

Further investigation revealed that Casas was suspecting his live-in partner and the senior citizen of having an affair.  

Sadaba was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 7, facing charges.
