CALUYA, Antique – A 45-year-old resident of Sitio Punta, Barangay Banago was killed by a town mate harboring a grudge against him, police said.
Suspect Reynel Francisco once tagged Jose Mendoza as the one who allegedly stole his banana, according to Police Officer 1 Mark Anthony Alejandro of the municipal police station.
Mendoza was repairing a motorboat engine on Monday when Francisco, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, stabbed him on the back using a fan knife, police said.
Francisco, a 38-year-old utility worker, was drunk at the time, investigation showed./PN
