ILOILO City – A man charged with violation of Batas Pambansa 22 was arrested in Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro district, a police report showed.
Batas Pambansa 22 is the law penalizing the making or drawing and issuance of a check without sufficient funds or credit.
The 43-year-old resident Rey Japitana was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 9:10 a.m. on June 8. He was taken to the Jaro police station.
A P2,000 bail bond was recommended for Japitana’s temporary liberty.
It was unclear, as of this writing, if he posted bail./PN
