BACOLOD City – He was caught carrying illegal drugs at a checkpoint in Barangay 3, a police report showed.
The 21-year-old Barangay 35 resident Dave Denosta was detained at the Police Station 2 lockup facility, the report further stated.
Denosta – who was driving a motorcycle – tried to avoid the checkpoint but police were able to corner him.
Denosta was arrested after the officers saw a sachet of shabu in his pouch while he was presenting his driver’s license to them on Tuesday.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were filed against Denosta./PN
