BACOLOD City — A 39-year-old man was killed in a shooting incident in Purok Mahimulaton, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.
Police identified the victim as Victor Hermano, single and resident of GK Village in the said barangay.
According to an initial police report, authorities received a phone call at around 5:53 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, alerting them to the shooting, which reportedly took place just a minute earlier at 5:52 p.m.
Responding police officers found Hermano at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds on his body. He was immediately pronounced dead.
Police Captain Rosalino Pugoy, chief of the Bacolod City Police Station 3, said the victim was walking when he was shot by two men onboard a motorcycle.
As of this writing, the perpetrators remained unidentified and at large. Local police stated that an active investigation was underway to determine the motive behind the killing and to identify the gunmen./PN
