GUIMARAS – A man was stabbed dead in Sitio Tabunan, Barangay Poblacion, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. He was killed by his friend past 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 25.
Leonardo Faeldon, 46, of Sitio Bunlao, Barangay Sto. Domingo, Nueva Valencia was declared “dead on arrival” at the Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Provincial Hospital in Jordan town. He had stab wounds on his neck and chest.
The suspect was identified as Vincent Gamlanga, 39, of Sitio Tabunan, Barangay Poblacion.
They were having a drinking session with two others when the victim touched the suspect’s hair, which angered the latter, according to the Nueva Valencia Municipal Police Station.
Gamlanga attempted to flee but was collared in a hot pursuit operation./PN
