ILOILO City – A 36-year-old man landed in a hospital after he got stabbed by his co-worker in Barangay Tacas, Jaro district.
Nilo Baroro of Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo district, a construction worker, sustained a stab wound on the body. He received treatment at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
His co-worker Michael Ybanez, 45, of San Enrique, Iloilo was tagged as suspect, police said.
According to police investigation, Baroro and Ybanez were having a drinking binge around 9 p.m. on Oct 2.
Baroro was about to go to the comfort room when Ybanez stabbed him without provocation. It was not immediately established what was the motive in the incident.
Ybanez was detained in the lockup cell of the Jaro police station. Charges for frustrated homicide will be filed against him./PN
