MAKATO, Aklan – A drunk laborer was arrested in Barangay Tina here.
Wyne Jay Ibabao, 32, was tagged the suspect in the hacking of his two friends on Nov. 18. He was taken to the municipal police station.
The victims were Erwin Pastrana and Marion Paderan, 32, of Barangay Dumga. Prior to their hacking, both of them, Ibabao and other friends had a drinking binge at the birthday party of friend Oldarico Francisco where Ibabao had a heated argument with another friend identified only as Jeric.
Initial police investigation showed Ibabao leaving the party and returning shortly but already brandishing a bolo.
Pastrana and Paderan sustained hack wounds and were taken to the Makato District Hospital./PN
