CAPIZ – Officers of the Panitan Municipal Police Station (MPS) apprehended one of the province’s fugitives.
The suspect, identified as alias “Junior”, 36, and a resident of Barangay Ambilay, Panitan town is Capiz’s No. 6 most wanted man for rape.
Police carried out the arrest around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, in the aforementioned place by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued on April 2, 2025.
The accused is currently under police custody pending turnover to court concern. No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Police Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, lauded the tracking team of Panitan MPS for their swift and successful operation.
“This accomplishment speaks of our unwavering commitment to pursuing and apprehending the remaining wanted persons in the region and held them accountable for their offenses. Additionally, strengthening community partnerships remains a key component of this ongoing campaign,” Wanky said./PN
