ILOILO City – For threatening to kill his younger brother and attempting to stab a neighbor, a resident of Barangay Pali-Benedicto, Mandurriao district had been arrested.
The 20-year-old Renniel John Barluado was hauled to the detention facility of the Mandurriao police station.
A 9-inch-long folding knife was also seized from him, a police report stated.
Barluado, who appeared drunk, went looking for his 18-year-old brother Ronniel at around 10:10 p.m. Sunday while wielding the weapon at Jefferson Ville Subdivision in Barangay Pali-Benedicto.
He threatened to kill his younger brother, stated the police report.
While neighbor Edgardo Felicio was trying to pacify Barluado, the latter stabbed the former but missed, the report stated.
Felicio eventually managed to disarm Barluado. With the help of Ronniel and Barangay Kagawad Felno Mosquito, Felicio arrested and brought Barluado to the district police station./PN
