MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has dismissed circulating health rumors, assuring the public that he has fully recovered and has been back to his normal routine for months, including resuming exercise and a regular diet.

In a video interview with Palace Press Officer Claire Castro on Wednesday night, the President underscored that there is no cause for concern about his condition and that he has been consistently carrying out his responsibilities.

“Wala po tayong problema. I’m back to my regular exercise. I’ve been back to my regular routine for the last three months,” Marcos said.

He also expressed gratitude to those who have shown concern but cautioned the public against taking unverified information on social media seriously.

“Maraming salamat sa mga nag-aalala sa akin. Huwag niyo masyadong sineseryoso kung anuman, ang alam niyo naman ang social media, palabiro ‘yan,” he said.

Earlier this year, Marcos was diagnosed with diverticulitis, a condition involving inflammation in the colon, which forced him to miss several public engagements. He has since recovered and returned to full official duties.

The President emphasized that he continues to monitor his health closely to ensure he remains fit to lead.

“I’m doing my usual, watching my health, making sure that I’m always ready to do the work,” he said.

He added that he has already resumed a normal diet without restrictions.

“Wala nang bawal… more than one month na akong walang bawal,” Marcos said.

Malacañang had earlier dismissed as false the claims about the President’s health and warned that legal action may be pursued against those responsible for spreading misinformation./PN
